Cbank undecided on foreign currency purchase restart in Oct

MOSCOW, Sep 6 (PRIME) -- The central bank will decide on the restart of foreign currency purchases after seeing the financial markets situation in September, Alexei Zabotkine, director of the monetary and credit policies department of the central bank, said on Thursday.

“The purchases (of foreign currency) stopped until the end of September, and a decision on their restart will be made after monitoring the financial markets situation dynamics in September,” Zabotkine said.

The Finance Ministry said on Wednesday that it will buy 426.9 billion rubles of foreign currency from Friday through October 4, spending 21.3 billion rubles a day.
